How is a caselet different from a case-study interview?
"Caselets" is Skolarli's name for our case-study methodology — calibrated cases with documented rubrics, AI-assisted scoring, and consistent difficulty across the bank. Functionally, a caselet is a case-study assessment. "Caselet" is just our term for the structured, AI-scored format. Hiring managers use them in case-study interview rounds the same way they'd use any other case-study format.
Which roles is this best for?
Product Management, Business Analyst, Strategy & Operations, Consulting (entry-level through senior), and Senior IC-to-Manager transitions. Roles where structured thinking, ambiguity tolerance, and decision-making under incomplete information matter more than knowing the right answer to a multiple-choice question.
Can candidates use ChatGPT to write their caselet responses?
For high-stakes case rounds, run them inside the Skolarli Integrity Browser — ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, and other AI tools are blocked at the OS level. For lower-stakes screening rounds, AI use is technically possible but caselets are designed to be hard for AI to fake convincingly: they reward original framework construction, specific quantitative reasoning, and authentic personal experience that AI tends to write generically. SkoAI's evaluator also flags responses that look AI-generated stylistically.
How long does a caselet take?
Most caselets are 20-40 minutes per response, depending on complexity. Screening-stage caselets are typically 20-25 minutes. Senior-level case rounds (PM Director, strategy lead, senior consultant) run 45-60 minutes for deeper exploration. You configure the time limit per case based on the role and round.
How does SkoAI score case-study responses?
SkoAI evaluates responses against the documented rubric for each caselet — typically structure, depth of reasoning, consideration of tradeoffs, evidence use, and recommendation clarity. The output includes a quality score (0-100), identified strengths, areas the human evaluator should probe further, and a recommended mark. The human evaluator then reads the response, considers the AI analysis, and assigns the final score. AI assists; humans decide.
Can we add our own caselets?
Yes. Customers can author custom caselets with their own scenario context, response prompts, and rubric-backed scoring. SkoAI can also generate caselets calibrated to your context from your own materials — postmortems, OKR docs, customer escalations, strategy briefs. Custom cases stay private to your tenant and never appear in the public bank.
Are responses written or spoken?
Both formats are supported. Written caselets are best for screening rounds and async evaluations. Spoken caselets — where the candidate verbally walks through their thinking on a video call — work well in interview rounds where you want to probe their reasoning live. Both formats use the same SkoAI evaluator and produce the same dossier outputs.
