How is this different from "AI hiring" tools that just use ChatGPT in the background?
Many "AI hiring" tools are thin wrappers over public OpenAI or Anthropic APIs. Your candidate data flows through their infrastructure, with vendor-specific data retention policies you have to audit separately. SkoAI runs on AWS inside our VPC — customer content never leaves the AWS perimeter, and we don't call public LLM APIs for customer data. The architecture is the differentiator, not the wrapper.
Does SkoAI make the hiring decision?
No. SkoAI provides inputs — quality scores, recommended marks, identified strengths, structural analysis — to assist a human evaluator. The human evaluator reads the candidate's response, considers SkoAI's analysis, and assigns the final score. AI assists; humans decide. This is operational and architectural, not just a policy statement: the evaluation interfaces require human action at the decision point.
Which AI model powers SkoAI?
SkoAI runs on multiple AI model families, served through our secure infrastructure. We select models based on reasoning capability, transparency on training data, and safety posture. The model layer is abstracted, so we can adapt as the AI landscape evolves.
How accurate is voice fingerprinting?
Voice fingerprinting confirms speaker continuity within a session — comparing audio segments throughout the assessment to detect speaker changes. Match confidence is high in clear-audio conditions, lower with poor microphones or heavy background noise. We don't claim universal-speaker-identification (matching a candidate against an arbitrary voice database). What we claim — and deliver — is in-session speaker continuity.
What happens to candidate data after the assessment?
Different categories of assessment data have different retention windows. Snapshots and audio chunks are retained 15 days by default. Reference photos and dossiers are retained for the lifetime of the customer's account. Customers can request extended retention, early deletion, or export at any time. Can SkoAI's AI scoring be biased?
All AI systems carry potential bias, including SkoAI. We mitigate this through three mechanisms: rubric-based scoring (the AI evaluates against documented criteria, not against a subjective standard), human-in-the-loop decisions (the human evaluator catches AI scoring inconsistencies), and audit trails (every AI score is logged and traceable). For hiring decisions, customers can independently review AI outputs against actual outcomes to identify drift. Bias mitigation is operational, not just claimed.
